It's cold here today. Mid-50s. What's up with needing A/C last week and thinking about turning on the heat this one?

Good weekend. We saw Pirates of the C with people on Friday. I kinda felt like I should ask what exactly that was. Visually stunning but the storyline was only loosely linked. So I think perhaps I am glad we saw it at the cheap theatre for $3.50.

King's Island was grand. It was a P&G thing so we came home with a lot of full size samples and rode rides until we hurt. Turns out the 'ole equilibrium isn't quite what it used to be. Highlight of the day: riding the Son of the Beast three times in a row with no wait and only one other couple with us. Or the superman flying tower thingy. So worth it.

Lowlight: the third ride on the SOB, we rode in the middle of the train rather than the front car. David described it as "a fun ride in which a man beat me violently in the middle back with a large stick" I just thought it felt like someone was shoving down on my head trying to compress my spine. Turns out there really is an advantage to the front seat.

Had a great walk in Mt. Airy with the pooch on Saturday. There's an uber-cool treehouse out there and several small suspension bridges, but past that, it's quite wild. We even got semi-lost and found a deer skull. Happily, we did not find a body like the runners that were out there a few weeks ago.

Speaking of crime, the United Dairy Farmers store near our house was robbed this morning around 8am. Kinda freaks me out when combined with the muggings in Clifton (one neighborhood over) and the car jacking in June. Glad we have large barky dog for me to wander the neighborhood with.

Prayer would also be appreciated for a job. Got one in the pipeline I'd like. They need to decide whether I'm qualified today and, if so, figure out interview stuff. I do want a job now-now.

I miss you people. It's hard to make friends in a new place. I love my hubby, and he's the best friend, but he's not the same deal as a bunch of like-minded/hearted folks to hang with.

I did meet someone I might perhaps be able to befriend in the wedding center at Macy's on Friday. Perhaps I'll call her for coffee this week.

Ok, back to work. Time to paint the trim in the bedroom!

Mt Airy is exceptionally beautiful in the fall. if you're into Frisbee Golf, they have one of the best courses in the state. Also, if you get the chance, try walking at the paths near Lunken airport. They're pretty cool too. ... I miss Cincy.
